The Santa Clara BBQ Judges will be participating in one of the largest Kansas City Society Sanctioned BBQ Completion in the West Coast! They will be Judging up to 60 Pro teams and 30 Backyard Teams. The categories include; Pork Ribs, Pork Roast, Chicken and Brisket.
Come join the fun by being a Judge in the People's Choice Award Competition, when you purchase tokens for samples throughout the event. You will receive a ticket to cast a vote for your favorite sample/ BBQ team. This comes with $250 in prize money to the most voted BBQ teams.
Pro BBQ Teams
Up to 60 Pro Teams will be competing this year for $25,000 in prizes!
This is one of the largest West Coast BBQ Competition sanctioned by KCBS. We will have $25,000 in prize money!! Come watch the Pro's BBQ on Friday afternoon between 4-10 pm. Enjoy samples from the Pro Teams throughout Friday and Saturday. Show up early as the samples are sure to sell out!
Interested in competing in this year's BBQ Competition?
All professional teams will be judged by Certified Kansas City Barbecue Society judges. Pro Teams will be competing in the following categories: Pork Ribs, Pulled Pork, Chicken Thighs and Brisket, Backyard will compete in Chicken Thigh & Tri-Tip.
Points Earned will go toward the

Backyard BBQ Teams
The Backyard BBQ Teams compete cooking Tri-Tip & Chicken for Trophies.
First through third place in both categories are awarded. A Grand Champion & Reserve Champion are awarded for both categories. This offers a great experience for BBQ teams to become a PRO BBQ Team. Come watch our local teams compete and enjoy some Kamikazes, Entertainment and more on Saturday, June 20th 11 am ~ 8 pm.
Mayor's Cup BBQ Teams
The Mayor's Cup is a competition between self-formed BBQ Teams from various City of Santa Clara's Departments. Winners of this competition get their team/department engraved on a trophy as well as bragging rights!
